About Wine Analytics Report
The Wine Analytics Report is a monthly, digital report on the U.S. wine industry produced by the editorial team at WineBusiness Analytics and based on information from proprietary databases and data supplied by partner research firms. The report and WineBusiness Analytics are part of the Wine Communications Group.
Andrew Adams, editor, was a writer and editor at Wines & Vines magazine from 2011 to 2018. Adams grew up in the city of Sonoma, Calif., and graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in journalism. While a reporter and editor for daily newspapers in Oregon and California for nearly a decade, Adams won awards for investigative and business reporting. In 2009, Adams left the newspaper industry for a harvest internship at a Napa Valley winery. That internship led to a full-time position in the cellar and laboratory where Adams worked for three harvests before joining the staff at Wines & Vines magazine, which in 2019 merged into the pages of WineBusiness Monthly for which Adams is now a regular contributor.
Peter Mitham, contributing editor, brings more than 20 years’ experience writing about business, agriculture and wine to the Wine Analytics Report. Previously he was the Northwest correspondent and reported on the Wine Industry Metrics for Wines & Vines and contributed to Opus Vino (2010) and 1,000 Great Everyday Wines (2011). College experience in the hospitality sector as well as a stint as associate editor of Vendor, round out the background he brings to his current role.
Sarah Brown, staff writer, earned her B.S. in Viticulture and Enology from the University of California, Davis before working in winemaking at various wineries throughout Napa and Sonoma counties. Brown is a regular contributor to the Wine Analytics Report, WineBusiness Monthly and winebusiness.com, and has been writing creatively and professionally her entire life. A resident of Sonoma, Calif., Brown enjoys gardening, cooking and hosting dinner parties for friends when she is not writing about wine.
